Lapp Village in Yllas Lapland is situated approximately 25 minutes walk from the cabin. In the heart of the Lapp village lies the Poro restuarant. Poro is known as the Northern Lights restuarant, poro is the finnish name for Reindeer, as a reminder of how much the lappish food culture is cherished. Next to the restuarant is of course Santa's house. In December Santa and his elves can be observed busily working hard for the special Christmas season. Santa will meet with the children and adults too, upstairs in his very own workshop, each child has a one to one with Santa and a special gift. It truly is a magical experience, one that children and adults will never forget. After visiting Santa you can spend time in the special shop that is full of typical Lappish handicrafts made of course by the elves. The shop has many wonderful unusual hand made crafts and there are lots of beautiful hand made toys and soft toys for the children. Behind Poro restaurant the elves, gnomes and earth spirits will take you to the world of huskies, reindeers and northern lights.
