A Holiday In Lapland
From the moment you board the plane on route to Lapland the magic will begin. The flight to Lapland will last approximately three and a half hours and whilst in flight the Captain will update you on the weather, which will only add to the excitement a holiday in Lapland will bring.
You will land at Kitilla airport, Kitilla is the closest Airport in Lapland and is quite small compared to other airports but it doesn’t disappoint. Whilst waiting for your bags you will be surrounded by the magic elves and Santa helpers in Lapland. The children will be enchanted, in fact so will the adults. Once your bags are picked up your journey will begin to your Lapland Log Cabin. The journey takes about Thirty minutes and is truly beautiful. You are surrounded by the open forests of Lapland, the white snow undisturbed except for the tiny footprints of the Lapland Reindeers; if you are lucky you may also encounter Santa Claus on your journey.
Once at your Lapland Log Cabin your holiday truly begins. The Log cabins have everything you could ever need. They comfortably sleep six with two bedrooms downstairs, a cosy bedroom upstairs, a kitchen living room area and a sauna, shower room. In each Log cabin there are full cooking facilities should you want an extra cosy night in with the fire roaring and the snow softly falling outside. In Yllas Lapland there is a huge supermarket which is fully equipped with everything you could want with many of the items the same as you would get back home. The supermarket in Yllas opens early and is open quite late for those of you who are busy out and about seeing what’s on offer in Lapland.
For those cosy nights in Lapland when you want a meal out, there is the wonderful Jullis restaurant and bar offering lots of choice and variety. It caters well for the whole family and again the opening hours are early to quite late. There are of course other places in Lapland you can eat. There is the new burger van that caters for the tired skiers or anyone that fancies a bite to eat on their journey home or there are other restaurants on offer should you simply fancy something a little different from Pizzas to top class food at Pippola. That brings me on the the excursions, Lapland is a place where you can do as little or as much as you like and there is certainly plenty to do and plenty of magic on offer in Lapland.
